Custom Domains

Connect a verified company-controlled hostname to your IR site.

Before you start

Your company must have completed identity and company verification. Growth and Leadership plans can use a hostname such as ir.example.com.

Connect the domain

  1. Open Domain in your company workspace and enter the complete hostname.
  2. Save the domain and copy the DNS records BeaconIR displays.
  3. Create the requested CNAME and, when shown, ownership TXT records at your DNS provider.
  4. Return to BeaconIR and run domain verification.
  5. Confirm the hostname resolves and displays a valid HTTPS certificate before removing older records.

Troubleshooting

  • Remove conflicting A, AAAA, or CNAME records for the same host.
  • Check for extra spaces or quotation marks in DNS values.
  • Keep the BeaconIR subdomain available while support investigates.
  • Changing the hostname resets verification and requires the new records to be checked.
